The boys from S Club 7 - Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Bradley
McIntosh - were stopped by police who caught them smoking a cannabis spliff in Covent
Garden (London) yesterday (20 March 2001). They were taken to a police station and given a
formal caution for possession of the Class B drug.
Police officers smelt it as they walked past the trio. They told Radio One: "We have
been stupid and know that we've made a big mistake. We feel that we have let a lot of people
down, and have learned our lesson the hard way".
The news will upset many of the bands' young fans who have been apologised to.
