Gorillaz is the debut album from the Gorillaz - Damon Albarn and his
cartoon friends. Fifteen tracks produced by Dan The Automator and the band who were
animated by Jamie Hewlett (Murdoc).
If you are expecting all the tracks to sound like Clint Eastwood you will be
disappointed. It kicks off with Re-Hash, an acoustic/drum track with a catchy
melody. In the second track 5/4 you can really hear the Damon Albarn (2D)
influence.
The third track is the bands' debut release, Tomorrow Comes Today. Clint Eastwood
is the track that probably brought you to this page - a slow hip-hop track with a catchy
'chorus'. There's a lot of variety in this album.
Track seven is Punk, a very 'basic' sounding punk track. Rock The House again
adds to the variety on the lp.
A brilliant album, which caters for everybody's tastes. I can guarantee that you will like
at least a few tracks on this album.
