JJ72 have been forced to reschedule some live dates because of an injury to Fergal
Matthews' (drums) hand.
The three dates, at Nottingham Rock City (28 May) and London Shepherds Bush Empire
(29 and 30 May) have been postponed to allow the injury to heal. They will now take place in
June. An extra date has also been added at Portsmouth Pyramid Centre on 21 June
2001.
Fergal Matthews was injured yesterday (21 May). He broke a small bone in his left hand
when he was knocked off his bike just outside Dublin.
Tickets for the original 29 May show will now be valid for 18 June and those for 30 May will
be valid for 19 June. So the new dates are...
- 17 June - NOTTINGHAM Rock City
- 18 June - LONDON Shepherds Bush Empire
- 19 June - LONDON Shepherds Bush Empire
- 21 June - PORTSMOUTH Pyramid Centre
This rescheduling will not affect JJ72's headlining slot at T In The Park on 8
July, an appearance at V2001, a show with U2 at Slane Castle and
appearances at other European festivals including Roskilde and Pinkpop. They will
also be touring Japan for the second time and making their first appearance in the US.
JJ72 would like to apologise to fans for the postponement of these dates.
