Rooty is the name of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe's underground parties. It is also the title of the second album from Basement Jaxx.
It opens with the first single to be taken from the album, featuring Kele Le Roc on vocals, Romeo. A blend of R&B, garage, house and pop making an addictive, radio-friendly summer anthem.
Following Romeo is Breakaway. Remember My Name Iz Start? (white label)? It's a bit like that at the beginning, not half as good though.
Broken Dreams opens with a hip-hop beat - with some nice, old-sounding, samples over the top. A very catchy track. Great.
The best track on the album is, by far, Where's Your Head At. It features a strong riff that you will remember for a very long time. Addictive.
There are some good, catchy tracks on this album. Dance fans will love it.
