Limp Bizkit have announced the cancellation of their show at Milton Keynes' National Bowl on 24 June and the remainder of the Anger Management tour.
The cancellations are due to Fred Durst's "increasingly painful and distressing back injury". A statement from the band says that he has consulted with a number of doctors and orthopaedic specialists over the past ten days who say that a 'mandatory' rest period of at least two weeks is needed to allow the injury, identified by MRI as a 'stress fracture to the fifth lumbar vertebrae', to begin to heal. He will then undergo a period of gradual recovery and physical rehabilitation.
The band thank their fans for the "support they have given them and for making the tour such an outstanding and unforgettable experience".
The dates are unlikely to be rescheduled. Ticket holders for the show in Milton Keynes on 24 June should contact their point of purchase to arrange for a refund.
