Oasis have announced a 'low-key' UK tour in October to mark their tenth anniversary.
The band made their live debut on 18 August 1991 at the Manchester Boardwalk. They will be playing at smaller venues rather than the stadiums/arenas that fans are now used to. Their last UK dates were in July last year at Wembley Stadium.
Tickets for the shows will go on sale on 18 August at 10am, ten years after their first show. Since then the band have played 465 shows around the world.
The short tour consists of two dates in London, two in Manchester and another two in Glasgow. It was in Glasgow that the band were spotted by Alan McGee - the boss of Creation who gave them their first record deal. Manchester is the home town of the band.
The dates are as follows:
- 7 October - LONDON Shepherd's Bush Empire
- 8 October - LONDON Shepherd's Bush Empire
- 10 October - MANCHESTER Apollo Theatre
- 11 October - MANCHESTER Apollo Theatre
- 13 October - GLASGOW Barrowlands
- 14 October - GLASGOW Barrowlands
