The man partly responsible for Elvis Presley's hits has compared Elvis to Eminem.
Mike Stoller was joined by Jerry Leiber (his songwriting partner) in London today (27 June).
Mike Stoller told NME that there is a similarity between the two, saying, "Elvis sold primarily to a white audience, but did include everyone. And many rap records, particularly these sexploitation, misogynistic ones, also mostly sell to young whites."
When asked if he would write something for Eminem he replied, "I don't think he'd come to me."
Mike Stoller and Jerry Lieber wrote classics such as Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock for Elvis. They also wrote Stand By Me for Ben E King.
