U2 have been granted permission, by Meath County Council for a second concert at Slane Castle on 1 September.

Following consultation with Gardai and Ticketmaster it has been deemed that in the interest of public safety tickets are being placed on sale immediately.

Tickets are limited to four per person/transaction, they can be purchased nationwide through Slane Village (£36.50, no booking fee) and Ticketmaster. Tickets cost £39.50 including £3.00 booking fee at Ticketmaster HMV outlets in Dublin and £41.00 including £4.50 booking fee in Ticketmaster regional outlets.

Support for the show will include Moby, Foo Fighters, Nelly Furtado and Dara.

The band are the first to play two concerts at Slane Castle in its twenty year history. It took forty-five minutes to sell eighty thousand tickets for their first Slane Castle show on 25 August.
