Eminem and Australia Prime Minister John Howard have exchanged insults after the American rapper's first show in Australia.
At his first show yesterday (26 July), at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, the rapper told his audience, "I want to buy a house and move here, but I don't think your prime minister would like it."
Later - with roars of disapproval from the crowd - he said, "They almost didn't let me into your country so I brought a gun with me. I'm kidding, I'm kidding - no, I'm not - I'm kidding."
Prime Minister John Howard said, "I don't like his music - I don't like his lyrics - I don't like the allusions to violence that are involved in his performance."
Props for the show included his famous white mask, an electric chair and a chainsaw. The chainsaw had to have its teeth removed to comply with Australian safety regulations.
The rapper will be performing at Sydney's Superdrome tonight (27 July).
