Mick Jagger has been signed to Virgin Records as a solo artist. His first album for the label is scheduled for release in November 2001. It will be his first solo album in eight years.

Nancy Berry, vice chairman of Virgin Music Group, said, "We could not be more thrilled that Mick has chosen Virgin as the home for his solo career. He is a legend whose timelessness is only furthered by his creativity, focus and drive. We look forward to this partnership with Mick with the goal of making this new album his greatest solo success yet."

The as-yet-untitled album will be his fourth solo collection, his fist since 1993's Wandering Spirit.
