After the terrible events in the United States last Tuesday, Moby spent the following day in his studio working on music because it was "healing".
Sonicnet quotes Moby, who lives just two miles from the disaster area, as saying: "Since that incident happened, my neighbourhood was curtained off by the police, I haven't been able to go outside anyway 'cos the air was just so thick with smoke. Everyone that lives down here, we have really sore throats and sore eyes from the smoke and from crying from being upset."
He continued: "Music and friends are the only things that have gotten me through this. Wednesday when I was stuck in my home, I spent my day in the studio working on music because it was healing. Very melodic and tranquil music to provide a counterpoint to the events on Tuesday."
The star, real name Richard Hall, blamed the US Armed Forces and intelligence agencies for not preventing the attacks. In postings on his official website, Moby said the FBI, CIA and the military "exist solely to protect us from this sort of atrocity".
