She hasn't had a huge amount of luck in the singles charts recently. Her latest single, and opener to this album, was beaten to the top by a novelty European act, an animated builder, a Michael Jackson cover, Shaggy and Kylie Minogue. Yes, it entered at a disappointing (for pop at least) number six. It's not as if she was behind more talented artists with better songs, is it?

This is Victoria Beckham's debut long-player. It is the same as all the other pop going round at the moment, nothing special. Not Such An Innocent Girl is probably the most radio-friendly track on the album and an obvious single choice.

You get the impression that she is just following the pop crowd of Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez et al. I'm sure you can just buy one compilation album featuring this sort of stuff and you would be 'sorted'.
