The Loft is a diverse selection of the music played by David Mancuso at his
legendary parties in his New York apartments since 1970. It features twenty tracks over two
CD's.
The first CD features 'early' tracks, this is more disco/jazz. Although this is not a mix CD
the album does flow really well. The second disc features later stuff, house but not
quite house. The first track is The Nervous Track by Nu Yorican Soul - brilliant!
Rain (Dorothy Morrison) has a great melody, this is a gospel track.
Overall this is a good album, it flows really well.
