U2 have confirmed details of their next single. Walk On will be released on 19 November. It is the fourth single to be taken from the band's current album, All That You Can't Leave Behind which has now sold over a million copies in the UK.
The video for Walk On was shot by Jonas Akerlund in Rio de Janeiro. It contains footage of
Burmese pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, to whom the track is
dedicated on the album. This dedication caused All That You Can't Leave Behind to be banned by the Burmese authorities. Ownership of the album in Burma is punishable by up to twenty years in jail.
The single is available on two CDs and DVD formats. The first CD includes a live versions of Where The Streets Have No Name (live from Boston, 6 June) and Stay (live from Toronto, 25 May). The second CD includes an acoustic version of the band's recent single, Stuck In
A Moment You Can't Get Out Of, and Nigel Godrich's remix of Walk On. The DVD includes four live clips of the Elevation tour recorded in Boston (6 June) and the Walk On video.
